My disease (Morgellons) left me bedridden for a number of years, the last couple years things have been in remission. Though I still have difficulties, I feel I've been given a second chance.
I hadn't touched art for a long time. I forced myself to sit at the computer for longer periods and found a draw program that I enjoyed. It brought out my creative side and allowed me to express myself again.
Eventually I began painting acrylics. In this last year I was finally able to tolerate sunlight and get outdoors. For me it was like seeing things for the first time. I had such appreciation for nature, the sights, the sounds, the smells.
I was given a camera and couldn't get enough of recording what excited me.
Art for me is exploration and appreciation of our maker's creativity. Every plant, flower, has it's own dimensions and quirkiness that I find lovely, sometimes humorous and beautiful. Flowers are the natural jewels of the planet.
I bought a home in a rural area and inherited a wonderful garden. Watching the variety of flowers blossom and grow is like a opening a new gift every day.
Much of my time has been consumed with restoring the garden and bringing it back up to it's fullest glory.
For now I can't get enough of photographing the growing stages of my garden. My long term plan is to press flowers and utilize the colors and textures in assemblage and collage. I am passionate about preserving nature, growing organic and advocating. I hope to show this love through my art.

I am a marijuana patient after I became intolerant of conventional drugs. I think it is a tragedy that the 10's of thousands of people who are in a similar predicament are unable to access the drug that may benefit them, due to being unable to find a doctor who will prescribe it.
Lately there has been a lot of attention in the press about people who experienced problems because others are offended by the odor. People in our society who are the most vulnerable being targeted and harassed.
My idea of a viable solution is to prescribe vaporizers along with the marijuana prescriptions to eliminate that problem and to deliver the medication safely to the patient with a vaporizing system.

There is a lot of controversy and fear about gene modified foods. I have Morgellons a disease that many of us feel have a relation to the foods we've been eating. Many of us have found relief avoiding processed food and eating organic. Until proven different, I am playing on the side of caution. I lived on a farm for a dozen years and Round Up was used on the fields. Does it tie in? It wouldn't surprise me if it does.

I created this several years ago after being stricken by this disorder. Too many confusing treatments and some very strange theories. I made this blog to help anyone, but especially for newly stricken people who are confused by all the craziness out there. I offer simple, natural suggestions to control symptoms. I'm not an expert, only lived with it for 9 years, so I've learned a lot of what to do as well as what not to do. I hope I can save someone grief from telling them about my experience
